I am Wyatt Richardson, a 14-year-old that focuses on academics while being an exceptional athlete. My discipline & the support of my family has allowed me to balance both very well.
I would describe myself as athletic, loyal, funny, and outgoing. I enjoy being outdoors, and when I’m not playing baseball, I like hiking, biking, and spending time with my family. I am a leader to my peers – both on and off the field, and I take that role seriously. I like helping and enjoy being a good role model, especially for my little brother.
I love playing baseball and have been called a utility player because I can play just about any position that I am asked to play. I pitch, hitting my personal best this year at 84 mph, I catch, and I play 3rd. However, my spot is center field. Due to my range, my arm, and my ability to read the ball so well, I have been very successful at this position.
I set short term and long-term goals for myself and I think that having goals is very important. My dad helps me stay grounded and helps guide me to do what I need to do to reach my goals. A few of my long-term goals are to go to and play for a D1 college to further my education & graduate with a 3.7 GPA or higher. One of my biggest goals is to do what I can do to try and be the 1st round draft pick.
