BIO

Hi, my name is Auron Blackledge and I’m a 14 year old shortstop from Agoura Hills, California. Baseball has always been my passion but I also enjoy playing soccer, basketball, riding and golf with my friends. I love playing at short but I can also play center field, second or third. I’ve been told I’m good. I like to dive and I’m tall and pretty fast so I can get to balls that would usually go through the gaps.

In my travel team, 365 National, we play a lot of Perfect Game tournaments. At the PG’s for the 2024 season I’m batting a 595 average, slugging 765 with OPS of 1.360. This is up a bit from last year where I had a 449 average with a 1.264 OPS. I’ve been told I’m #2 in the country for average and #11 for OPS in PG.
I like playing against tough teams and enjoy winning tournaments. My travel team won the Cooperstown tournament where I went 4 for 4 in the final with 3 home runs and got player of the match. We were one run down in the final inning and I was in an 0-2 count but managed to rope the next pitch for a home run. I got 4 all time records for Cooperstown Dream Park including most home runs in a day and tied most home runs in a final. I also got invited to play on the Reds Scout Team at the spring training grounds in Arizona. It was a good experience playing with the older kids and I played pretty good.
I’m going to Calabasas High School next year and I’ve been working on my strength and speed. I run the 60 yard dash in 7.3 and have infield velo of 76mph. My goal is 6.5 and 90 mph by my junior year. I’m an honors student at AE Wright and do well in mathematics and science. My goal is to go to a D1 college and hopefully get drafted. I’m not sure what I want to study but I’m interested in technology.
My coaches help me be a good leader on my team. My teammates come to me for help and I think I do a good job keeping the team together and motivated. One of my friends’ dad is Derrek Lee who played in the MLB and won a World Series. He says I have the X factor. I’d like to have a career as good as his.
